A Criminal Record

After a night of partying, Tina Maharath was heading home early in the morning when she hit a cyclist and left him for dead. Maharath admitted, "I looked in the rearview mirror and I noticed it was a guy.”

Yet instead of stopping to seek help for the victim or report the incident to police, Maharath left the scene of the crime and waited days before confessing.1

A Reckless Lifestyle

Maharath describes her own judgement as “reckless … often going out to parties all evening long.” Just four years ago, Tina was arrested for selling alcohol to minors. A court found her guilty and ordered her to pay hundreds of dollars in fines, which records show are still outstanding.2

It doesn’t stop there. Maharath failed to pay a fine for driving with a suspended license. A warrant was issued for her arrest.3

Maharath has also been sued three times for breach of contract.4 After failing to pay her bills, her wages were garnished and she was forced to declare bankruptcy. 5

Unfit and Inexperienced

Maharath’s own party recognized her failings and refused to support her. Franklin County Democrats endorsed a write-in candidate to challenge her in the primary. Maharath is viewed as a candidate who’s unfit for leadership.6

Tina Maharath has no experience to represent our state. She will fail our families and fail Ohio.
